June 1915Requisitioned for war service and converted for minesweeping duties (Ad.No.1622).
1917Employed on convoy escort duties in northern waters. Part of a Scandinavian convoy sailing from Lerwick on October 15. Rescued the CO and 44 seamen from the sticken STRONGBOW after she had been attacked by German surface units.
August 22 1918Sank 2 miles of St Mary's Lighthouse, Blyth after being torpedoed (not authenticated, no claims made) or mined while serving as a minesweeper under skipper J W Walsh.
October 09 1918Fleetwood registry closed.
NotesToday, the wreck lies on hard sand and stone at a depth of 24m. The engine room has collapsed in on itself although the bow section is still intact, minus its gun. The winch lies some 50m away and there is wreckage scattered around.
