November 06 1963 TIn heavy swell, ExN Force 8 and moderate visibility and radar inoperative stranded on the south coast of Iceland, 4 miles West of Ingolfshofdi Light, in position 63.48N 16.40W; all eighteen crew ferried ashore in liferaft with shore assistance. Kingston Diamond (FD84) stoodby. Later declared a total loss.
September 16 1964BOT Inquiry (S.469) found Sk. George Harrison partly to blame and suspended his ticket for twelve months; acting Bosun John J. Larkin censured.
