December 23 1938 Launched by Smith's Dock Co Ltd, South Bank-on-Tees, Middlesbrough (Yd.No.1058) for Northern Fishing Co (Hull) Ltd, Hull (Peter A. Hellyer, manager) as IMPERIALIST.
January 28 1939Registered at Hull (H2).
January 1939Completed.
August 1939Requisitioned for war service and converted for anti submarine duties (P.No.FY.126).
January 18 1942At Gibraltar, 7th A/S Group, damaged by explosive charge placed onboard HMS ERIN.
October 31 1943With LOCH OSKAIG (H431/P.No.FY.175) and HMS DOUGLAS (P.No.D90) sank U-boat (U.732) in Atlantic in position 35.54N 05.52W. Twenty-two survivors captured.
October 1945Returned (Mark Hellyer & Graham Hellyer, managers).
January 1947Converted for burning oil fuel, F.P. above 150° F.
June 1949New boiler fitted.
October 09 1959Outward for Icelandic grounds in thick fog off the Yorkshire coast in collision with Turkish steamer YELKENCI (7046grt/1943) 15 miles east of Scarborough. Heavy damage to shell plating on the port side, and beached south of Scarborough harbour.
October 11 1959Refloated after temporary repairs and proceeded to Hull for permanent repair and return to service
October 10 1963Transferred within the Associated Fisheries Group to Wyre Trawlers Ltd, Fleetwood.
1965Registered at Fleetwood (FD83).
October 18 1965In a heavy gale on Icelandic grounds, went to he assistance of Icelandic STRAKUR disabled with engine trouble. Picked up seven crew members from a dinghy and with difficulty closed casualty and took off remaining two crew.
1966Sold to West of Scotland Shipbreaking Co Ltd, Troon for demolition.
December 20 1966Delivered Troon from Fleetwood under own power.
