1953Launched by Cochrane & Sons Ltd, Selby for St. Andrew's Fishing Co. Ltd, Hull as PRINCE CHARLES (H249).
December 23 1955Ran aground in a snowstorm on the island of Socroeya, 60 miles west of Hammerfest, half the crew were saved, nine of them were lost, as was the pilot. She was salvaged, but the story was she had refloated herself and was found at sea, floating up side down, the lost men were all in the cabin. She was towed back to Hull
March 1956Refitted and re-named LOCH MELFORT, sold by St. Andrews to Loch Fishing Co.
1964Registered at Fleetwood (FD228).
1968Renamed WYRE CAPTAIN.
