October 16 1936Registered at Fleetwood (FD33).
September 16 1939 Captured by U-boat (U.27) off West Coast of Ireland. Sunk by explosive charges at 15.53 in position 53.50N 11.10W after crew (Sk. Charles Robinson and twelve crew) ordered onto submarine; towed boat towards Irish coast.
September 17 1939Crew set adrift in early hours, 5 miles off Donegal coast and landed in Killybegs.
September 29 1939Fleetwood registry closed.
NoteFollowing the unfortunate DAVARA, RUDYARD KIPLING was the second British trawler sunk in WW2.
