Henry A. L. Rees designated manager.<br \/>\n8.1906:  New boiler fitted.<br \/>\n23.10. 1908:  Sold to El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson, Reykjavik on behalf of Hf. FRAM, Reykjavik for a reported 60-70 thousand kr\u00f3nur (\u00a33,350-\u00a33,385),<br \/>\n1-2.3.1908:  Arrived Reykjavik.<br \/>\n11-14.3.1908:  Renamed \u00cdSLENDINGUR.  El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson designated manager.<br \/>\n21.5.1908: Registered at Reykjavik (RE 120).<br \/>\n1908:  Remeasured (Iceland registry) 142.62g 65n.<br \/>\n23.10.1908: Hull registry closed.<br \/>\n1916:  Company dissolved, ownership transferred to El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson, Reykjavik (sometimes ownership shown as Hf. Eggert \u00d3lafsson a limited company in which<br \/>\nEl\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson was the majority shareholder).<br \/>\n26.10.1918:  Reported arrived Fleetwood along with the ex whaler VARANGER (RE 181) (g\/1881) and the \u00c1SGEIR P\u00c9TURSSON &#8211; El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson trawler HELGI MAGRI (EA 290) (136g\/1891), to fish out of the port over the winter.  J. Marr &#038; Son Ltd, managing agents.  During their stay some crew members fell ill with influenza and one crew member died along with one from HELGI MAGRI.   The crews were so well nursed in a Seamens\u2019 Home that the skippers invited the nurses to Iceland in the summer of 1919 on a holiday tour. (Jan 1918-Dec 1920 H1N1 Influenza Pandemic, the so called \u201cSpanish Flu\u201d &#8211; about 50 million dead worldwide.)<br \/>\n9.4.1919:  Sailed Fleetwood and returned to Iceland.  Reported that catches had been good.  Experimented with Danish Seine.<br \/>\nBy Autumn 1920:  El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson and companies in financial difficulties.<br \/>\n17.12.1920: Already an ill man, El\u00edas Stef\u00e1nsson (41) died of stomach cancer.  Estate put into liquidation by creditors.  Attempts to sell the \u00cdSLENDINGUR were unsuccessful.  Ship leased to various parties mainly during summer herring season and laid up over winter.<br \/>\n9.12.1926:  Sank at winter moorings at Ei\u00f0isv\u00edk, Reykjav\u00edk.<br \/>\n1942:  After salvage, refitted and converted to motor.  Fitted with 500hp Fairbanks-Morse oil engine by Fairbanks-Morse &#038; Co, Beloit, WI.  77hp Greyhound<br \/>\ntrawl winch engine and 20hp Lister generator.<br \/>\n1942:  Remeasured 146.11grt 66.20n 31,09 (102.0) x 6,25 (20.5)x 2,92 (9.6) metres (feet)<br \/>\n4.11.1942:  On completion registered by Sveinbj\u00f6rn Einarsson, \u00c1g\u00fast Ingvarsson and Stephan Stephensen, Reykjav\u00edk at Reykjavik (RE 73).  Operated by D\u00edseltogorar hf, Reykjavik.<br \/>\n18.5.1949:  Sold to Bjarni Sigur\u00f0sson, Kristj\u00e1n Gu\u00f0laugsson, both Reykjav\u00edk, Ingibj\u00f6rg P\u00e9tursd\u00f3ttir, Reykjum Mosfellssveit, (all Iceland) and \u00deorvaldur Stephensen, S\u00f6rvaag, Faroe Islands.<br \/>\n19.06.1951:  Ingibj\u00f6rg P\u00e9tursd\u00f3ttir shares sold to Kristj\u00e1n Gu\u00f0laugsson.<br \/>\n1954:  Last reported fishing with cod nets.<br \/>\nBy 1956:  Had been laid up in Reykjavik and sank at the berth.
