    Hi

I’ve been having a look at all the names above and I notice a name called Jim Port. My grandad was a skipper out of Fleetwood, I don’t now how long or the dates. I think the name of the vessel was the Harry Mellin/Melling. His name was Jim Porter known as Pym. His last days at sea was aboard the Onward Progress one of the small tankers owned by Boston. This I do know as I saild many a summer holiday with him. I was so impressed with going to sea I took it up as my career. I have since left the Merchant Navy after 32 years ending my days as Chief Officer for Shell. Please could you tell me if you know of any other vessels my grandad sailed on, or can tell me if a picture of the Harry Mellin exists.
    Regards
